This week in my quest to get my reading goal down to zero book behind, I only read books I knew I’d be able to finish in about a day. So once again I’ve read a majority of romance books.

Title: Betty and Veronica: The Bond of Friendship
Author: Jamie Lee Rotante & Brittney Williams
Genre: YA Graphic Novel
Page Count: 144 pages
I’ve never read any other comic from Archie Comics before this, I’ve watched Riverdale but comparing the two seems to anger die hard Archie Comics fans so I won’t do that. That being said the story of this graphic novel was very engaging and the characters were amazing. And even if it hadn’t been I found the art-style so great, Brittney Williams did such a great job on the art that I’d recommend people read this if only for that.

This book being the 11th in a series should probably mean that it’s getting repetitive, right? Well C.L. Stone manages to bring in yet another antagonist so far into the series and actually makes us care about the outcome with said antagonist.

This is the last book in the series published as of now. The story still seems far from over and in the time of the story only like five months have passes since the first book. That being said this is one of my favourite books in the series, it explores the feelings of the main characters further and delves more into one of the antagonists introduced earlier in the series.

This book was highly anticipated for me, I read the first three books in this series back in December and I’ve been looking forward to this ever since. And I must say Emory is probably my favourite of the main female characters in this series. Her and Will’s story is also just filled with some great angst that made me glued to this book and caused me to stay up till six am to finish it.

I read the first four books in this series earlier this month so I decided to pick this one up as well. And while the story and the characters were fine it did feel quite rushed a lot of the way through and that did mean that my enjoyment of the book suffered.

I won’t say these books are great, because they aren’t. But they are entertaining and quick reads and that’s really all I’m looking for in books right now.

This book was slightly more enjoyable than the last book, but it’s still not something I’d actively recommend for anyone. It felt rushed at times and the plot and mysteries sometimes fell flat when they were supposed to seem intriguing and shocking.
