This week was not nearly as successful as I would have liked. I visited my grandparents, so I had less time to read, which resulted in me reading a lot less than I would have otherwise.

Title: The Healing Power of Sugar
Author: C.L. Stone
Genre: Young Adult Romance
Page Count: 374 pages
In this book the author delves more into the antagonist introduced a few books earlier, and as a reader this is nice because it forced the characters into new situations and they have to examine their relationships to each other in new ways. It also has some nice angst and raises questions of if you can actually trust and believe in the people you care about.

This is probably one of my favourite books in the series, the angst is immaculate and it focuses on one of my favourite characters. It also explains more of the world-building, and as the main character starts learning more about her surroundings and the situation she has gotten herself into so do we.

Title: Not All Dead White Men: Classics and Misogyny in the Digital Age
Author: Donna Zuckerberg
Genre: Nonfiction
Page Count: 288 pages
I’ve wanted to read this book for a long time and I finally got around to it and it was a great book. It describes how the manosphere and the alt-right movement use and misuse the literature of the ancients in a way that I feel is accessible to many. The one thing I will warn about is the descriptions of rape and sexual assault, both in quotes from people from the manosphere and in descriptions of ancient myths.
